I'm proud to announce that WADE Shoes has chosen me to be one of their brand ambassadors (along with two of my favorite female bloggers, Dani and Vern)!

Will blog more about my WADE experience soon! in the meantime, here's a look post I came up with as my way of saying thank you to the people behind WADE for choosing me! Salamat po!
Memo jacket
Zara v-neck sweater

Wore this to the 100 Francis Libiran x Manila Hotel press-con and at the opening of 7 For All Mankind in Rockwell.

What started as test shots (for Tracy!) turned out pretty well… ah, worthy of a Lookbook post. Right? Hehe.

I don't exactly remember what my first phone was but one thing's for sure, being the OC person that I am, I bought a lot of stuff (accessories included) to keep my phone neat and safe from scratches etc... My first touch screen phone is an iPhone4. Considering the price tag and sensitivity that came along with its touch screen feature, of course I have to invest extra to give my phone an assurance of an extended gadget life. For kids who recently just had their first iPhone (4 and/or 4s), kayo na ang mayaman! But seriously, I'd recommend buying this Simplism Starter Pack as well!
Simplism Starter Pack for iPhone4s &4 at Php1,349
It basically has "everything" your first iPhone needs!
1. Silicone Neck Strap
2. Ear Pads
3. Cable Clip
4. USB Charger
5. Universal Dock Adaptor
6. Silicone Case
7. Display Protector Film, Cleaning Cloth, Leveler, Dust-removing Tape
I also collected phone/neck straps back on my earlier days as a first time phone owner and I still cringe at the thought of those colorful things and the idea of putting them around my neck while showing off my phone (eh Nokia 3310 lang naman) but I realized that beyond that, it has a vital role in keeping you from accidentally dropping your phone or misplace it. For a not so flashy and professional take on the neck strap, Simplism has this:

August 29, 2012 marked the launch of Wrangler's F/W 2012 collection and its latest campaign at the Midtown wing of Robinsons Manila.

Wrangler leads you to explore a boundless adventure with a new-found freedom and energy by introducing "Find Your Edge - Boundless Traveler," their F/W 2012 advertising campaign.

The campaign "Boundless Traveler" demonstrates a free spirit on the open road who knows no boundaries. It is about exploring, feeling alive, going on adventures, and embracing unlimited possibilities.

The event started with a short introduction and background of the campaign followed by the models presenting the latest collection. Of course, the 7 icons (the stuff that gives Wrangler its trademark) were also shown! Wanna know what they are?

It has been a while since I last experienced having good skin which is very rare considering that aside from my regular exposures to my dogs and other irritants (like dust, pollutions, etc…), I'm still yet to perfect the art of balancing my professional and blogging career (hehe), both requiring a lot of my awake time thinking and thinking. And you know what they say about too much thinking leading to breakouts on top of stressed and tired skin right?

Now I've underwent a "treatment" which I'm gonna blog about on a separate post and no, it is not the common facials or anything drastic like surgery and the like. I just did everything at home and to cut the long story short, I'm currently satisfied with how my skin looks now. For maintenance, I always rely on this trusted brand that has remained to be US' most recommended skin care brand, Cetaphil.

Cetaphil, since it's conception as a compounding vehicle for dermatological remedies in 1947, remained true to its commitment in providing evidence based skin care solutions for compromised, sensitive skin. And having been awarded as the Best Facial Cleanser at the recent Cosmo Beauty Awards (Cosmopolitan August 2012 Issue), the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is still the most prescribed cleanser by Dermatologists and Pediatricians in the Philippines even at 65 years!

Here's what I'm talking about (and also, my favorite from the Cetaphil product line):
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (473ml, 250ml, 60ml)
For skin with very specific needs, there's a Cetaphil skin cleanser for oily skin and an Antibacterial Cetaphil Cleansing bar which is perfect for every age and is safe to use everyday!
Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser (125ml)
Cetaphil Antibacterial Gentle Cleansing Bar (127g)
For moisturizing, Cetaphil boasts of its Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF15 and the Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion which can keep your skin hydrated for 24 hours! Plus, it has no scent! Perfect for guys (like me!) who doesn't want to smell girly.
Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer w/ SPF15 (118ml)
Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion
Now I want to share my clear skin experience with you ladies and gentlemen by way of another contest! I'm giving away 2 sets of Cetaphil gift packs.
1st pack contains a Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (250ml) and a Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer (118ml) valued at Php1,000+
2nd pack contains a Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser (125ml) and a Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion (85g) valued at Php1,100+

Prive Style Series, a monthly stylish bash hosted by the Prive Luxury Club, is unveiling another fine collection by John Paras this September 27, 2012.

This month, John Paras' muses will be basking in the luxury of his creations as they walk down the ramp in bespoke gold-and-black cocktail dresses.
John Paras
Headlining the show are Frencheska Farr and Julie Ann San Jose, two singing sensations from GMA Artists Center. In addition to these musical divas, John Para's muses include Monique Jamlang, Reshma Chulani, Lisa Ugarte, Angelique La'O, Cheryl Tiu, Jerika Ejerciro, Phoemela Baranda, Claudine Trillo, and Princess Violago Dee.

"My muses give off an air of mystique and have an appreciation of the past," John says. "She's fun, confident, with a personality that stands out."

With a line-up muses like this fueling his inspiration, there's no doubt that John's collection will be doing a lot of standing out itself.

Finally, I'm wrapping up my super extended post of Bench Universe: The 2012 Denim & Underwear Show with this post. In case you haven't noticed, I limited each parts to just 25 photos only. Why? That's my way of congratulating Bench for its 25th year celebration and for being the country's undisputed leading retail brand.

ANTM's Dominique
ANTM's Sophie
ANTM's Allison
More number trivia! The total number of photos for my 5 part post is 125.
25 years? Here's to a 100 more!

I had these new pair of Converse Chuck Taylor Reform Ox for over 2 months now and so far I was only able to wear it for 4 − 5 times. So, do I like it? If you knew me that well, it's safe for you to assume that I like it because it's red, it's a Chuck Taylor and it's Converse!

I know, I know I'm getting too predictable already... But I would like to remind you and your assuming self that there are different shades of red (some that I like, some I don't) and then there's the 'wearability' factor of the shoes and then there's the price…

Aw crap, scratch all those thoughts, I like it!

We've seen colors, whites and some metallics (PLUS a whole lot of skin!), now it's time for something dark… as presented by Michael Cinco.

And you know what that means? Where there is Cinco...

…there is ANTM's Allison Harvard! (Also in this part: Dingdong Dantes, Shaina Magdayao, Jessy Mendiola, BorGina and more!)

I took inspiration from the 1920s (my favorite style era) for my latest look (see HERE). Though I wanted to look like the guy straight-out-of-the-old-movies on a regular basis, I know I can't. That would be a big investment. But at least I get to be that guy on one of the recent event that I went to. Their theme? 1920s glam. That's one for the ladies. As for me, I had it easy.

Let me take you back in time with Laura Mercier.
What: Laura Mercier 1920s Glam Party
Where: Prive, Fort Strip
A short presentation of Laura Mercier's Holiday 2012 Colour Story: Art Deco Muse opened the program. They talked about makeup...

…and other girly stuff which I wasn't able to take note of because I was distracted by all these beautiful ladies.

To know more about Laura Mercier's latest collection, click on the links that I'll be providing of the fashion / beauty bloggers who went there. In the meantime,

let me delight you with these photographs I took of the 1920s themed event. Enjoy!
Joanna Ladrido, a favorite that night.
This guy, Jeffrey Tasker, brought life to the party. It was my first time to meet him and he's a delight to watch and listen to. Take this scenario for instance...
Jeffrey Tasker has developed his reputation with over a decade of experience in the fashion and cosmetics industry. After receiving a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychiatry, Jeffrey furthered his creative career by pursuing a Degree in Makeup Artistry from the Makeup School of San Diego. Jeffrey jump started his career in the beauty industry while working in Los Angeles as an assistant to lead artists on movies. Jeffrey continued his growth in the industry and worked with leading cosmetic brands before coming on board with Laura Mercier. His work has been showcased in various national and international publications such as Instyle, Vogue and Nylon at the same time worked during NY, Paris, Houston and London Fashion Week. He has also been featured on programs such as Sex and the City, Today Show, Oprah Winfrey, Good Morning America, Miss America and Miss USA among others.
Wondering what he's up to with his stained lips?

The 3rd set of the Bench Universe show had the fewest celebrities to appear and walk the runway but it didn't fell short of mesmerizing. Why? Because it has…

Julia Montes,

Lovi Poe, ANTM's Dominique Reighard, Karylle and for the ladies…

These past weeks has been a whirlwind of many "firsts" for me.

It was my first time to watch "Somewhere In Time." (Don't judge)

My first time to encounter the Firmoo brand,

and my first time to attend a 1920's themed event.

So how are these things interrelated with my featured look of the day?

Saturday, September 15, 2012

The second part of Bench Universe opened with a familiar scene (also, the defining moment of the brand) but instead of water, the iconic rowboat was seen floating on air. And no, it was not Richard Gomez handling the paddles.

Wanna take a wild guess?

I've featured the John Varvatos Fragrance Collection a couple of months ago (to see my reviews, click the links below the photos) and yesterday, I was surprised by what welcomed me when I entered the heavily guarded (lol) premises of Rustan's Shangri-La Mall in EDSA.
John Varvatos (Part 1)
John Varvatos (Part 2)
Curious to find out what the surprise is?

Bench officially launched Coco Martin and and his three signature scents for the brand yesterday, September 9, at the Music Hall in SM Mall of Asia.

Everyone (Yes. Even men! Lol) at the venue can't seem to get enough of Coco Martin. I must admit that this (and Michael Cinco's Impalpable show at the recent PFW) would be my favorite production of Bench in their continuous celebration of their 25th year in the industry. Everything was just in-line with the scent's core and very well executed! Consistent, collaborative and concert-like. Haha. That's three C's for you.
It's a bird! it's a plane! No, it's a flying thingamajig from the launch. Cool eh?
If you missed the launch, don't fret. I covered it for you. And speaking of three C's, let me present to you, the Coco Martin Signature Scents for Bench...
Comrade Deo Cologne is an energizing, everyday scent with a hint of sophisticated oriental twist. Filled with aromatic notes of wood, citrus and fruit, it's perfect for that all-time memorable date.
