Ending 2013 with yet again, another look post. Why? Because I'm gonna embark on a new personal challenge I just initiated on myself as a blogger. Never missing at least one post regardless of content per day this year (that's the challenge), I'm challenging myself (again) to start and end 2014 with a look post per day. That's 365 looks for 2014!

Here's hoping that I can do it.

Happy new year everyone! Maraming salamat sa suporta. May God bless you and your family more this year.

About the title, will post a different entry about that (It's that swank serviced apartments in Makati where I had this shoot). In the meantime, details of the look first,
Suiteblanco jeans | Thread 365 shirt | SM Accessories bag
Converse Jack Purcells | Uniqlo socks | Nixon watch

Will update this with more photos later. I just need to put a gap between the previous look post and the next one. Don't ask. I'm OC like that. Happy New Year!

Channeling Archie meets Reggie in this ensemble.

But really, I'm more of a Jughead. Have you seen my food posts? OK.

In details,
River Island jeans | Basic House polo | Topman letterman jacket
New Balance 420's | Rayban wayfarer | SM Accessories watch and knapsack
Found the perfect skinny jeans (which I've been abusing lately) from River Island. RSSI just made the brand available locally by opening two branches in the Philippines. I went to the launch of their SM Aura Premier branch (the other one is at Glorietta 5). Have you been?

If there's such a thing as a cooking show with a "Hunger Games" concept (minus the killing) wherein instead of weapons, ingredients and kitchen tools are scattered in and around the cornucopia, then this is my surefire way to win the competition. (Keep in mind that this contest is time pressured)

Katsu & Veggie Sticks

Grab a pack of classic Top Torikatsu,

and to make an impressive touch, these:
1bunch Celery
2 medium size Carrots
2 medium size Cucumbers
Garlic Ranch Salad Dressing
Leftover Doritos
With minimal skills in frying and slicing, you can finish this task in less than 15 minutes! Now, let's get cooking!

…that other guy in District 12.

What's his name? The coal miner? No, not Katniss' dad you oaf.

Wore this to Bloggers United 6.
Bershka trousers w/ suspenders | Thread 365 shirt | Zara Puffer Vest
Skechers Steel Toe Boots | Rayban Flash Aviators | Zoo York watch
Watch out for my next two posts. Both are also related to this one. Yeah, more Hunger Games and Bloggers United for you. Woohoo!

My favorite iPhone accessory (not counting the cases since they're more of a necessity to the iPhone 5) would be the Olloclip. Why? Click HERE for a detailed review. But I must admit that using it (alone) is sometimes a pain in the ass. My iPhone 5's love affair with the floor was ignited because one day it just decided to slip away from my hands when I tried to do a super-quick installation of the Olloclip. You see, you have to remove first whatever's on your iPhone in order to use this accessory.

If you own an Olloclip, then the Olloclip Quick-Flip Case might be the next best thing to happen to your iPhone 5 since well, the Olloclip!

Kit contents:
iPhone 5 case | iPod Touch 5th Generation Adapter | Pro-Photo Adapter
Since I don't have any use for the iPod 5th Generation Adapter, I'll just divide this feature into two parts.

Less is more when it comes to certain types of apparel movements. This rule is one that definitely encompasses the J. Lindeberg enterprise, a brand that sticks to the philosophy of Avant-garde minimalism, intimating at the elegant bohemian. Their approach cuts away at the unnecessary trappings of style without ever skimping on creativity. Slim-fitting, sleek, and decidedly practical, the label’s candid sensibilities are a welcome alternative to the local clothing scene.

Founded in 1996 by Johan Lindeberg, the company emerged from a desire to unleash a wealth of imagination. From a platform used to exercise a personal impetus, J. Lindeberg came to be known for its pared down silhouettes, unexpected details, and adherence to a distinct Swedish aesthetic, in over 30 countries worldwide. From shirts, pants, and jackets to belts and shoes, each piece is very well crafted and highly progressive in terms of design.
"A few years after J. Lindeberg materialized, many were immediately drawn to their vision," says Justin Benson Lim, Chairman of Delta Links Corp. "Both golf and fashion lines are extremely popular because of the advanced nature of the craftsmanship and the great attention to detail."
Fabric innovations are not unknown of in J. Lindeberg circles. Hardcore sportsmen, in particular, value their breathable and moisture wicking capabilities that prove vital both on and off the golf course. These specifics are also prevalent in the fashion collection which pulls on myriad influences to create its strong sartorial presence. The brand’s success is unquestionable from an international standpoint to rave runway reviews and growing global reach.

Never superfluous and always on the brink of modernism, J. Lindeberg’s footing in the industry is one that is as sure and steady as its upward momentum.  The J. Lindeberg collection is currently available at SM Aura and at Powerplant Mall, Rockwell.

Last January, AXE – the no. 1 fragrance brand in the world – unveiled a campaign to take the first Filipino to space with over 20 others from over 160 countries worldwide to celebrate the launch of AXE Apollo, its newest and possibly most iconic fragrance yet.

The Philippines was among the top countries that participated in the global campaign with over 28,000 applications for the opportunity to become the first Filipino to ever go to space.  From thousands, three candidates were selected to represent the country at the international AXE Apollo Space Camp held at the Kennedy Space Center in the U.S.  The three candidates underwent astronaut training with over 100 others from all over the globe.  Finally, one has been chosen to take to space by 2015 as the first Filipino astronaut.

After five days of grueling tests and challenges at the AXE Apollo Space Academy Space Camp, 22-year old Crossfit trainer and De La Salle University psychology graduate Chino Roque was declared the first Filipino astronaut by no less than legendary Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin.  The ceremonies were held at the Kennedy Space Center Rocket Garden.
"At the awarding ceremonies, when they called my name, all I could think about is how fortunate I am. From the start, this had been the experience of a lifetime. I'm grateful to the team of admirable guys I went to Space Camp with -Ramil and Evan -as well as the support of family, friends, and my countrymen," said Roque.
Roque is set to become the first Filipino astronaut by 2015, joining 23 other AXE Apollo Space Academy winners on a sub-orbital space flight.  The AXE Apollo winners are Patrick Carney (USA), Théo Abbaci-Nel (Canada), Marco Gorrasi (Brazil), Oliver Knight (UK), Felix Stach (DACH), Cyril Garnier (France), Jordi Ollebek (Netherlands), Eduardo Luruena  (Spain), Róbert Vokál (Slovakia), Denis Efremov (Russia), Halil Kayıkçı (Turkey), Omar Samra (Egypt), Vinay Singh (India), Takanobu Yoneya (Japan),  Rizman Adhi Nugraha (Indonesia),  Pirada Techavijit (Thailand), Thanh Long Vu (Vietnam), Tim Gibson (Austrailia),  Hamish Fagg (New Zealand), Tale Sundlisæter (Norway), Mandlenkosi Maseko (South Africa), Qing Guo (China), and Daniel Angelo “Chino” Roque (Philippines).
The AASA astronauts proudly display their certificates.
More About the AXE Apollo Space Camp
The three Filipino representatives – Evan Rey Datuin, Ramil Santos, and Chino Roque – underwent training at the AXE Apollo Space Academy in Orlando, Florida.  They experienced Zero-gravity Parabolic Flights on board a Boeing 727, Air Combat Training on-board an SIAI Marchetti SF260, and Hyper-gravity G Force Training.

The entire Filipino delegation, especially Roque, impressed the AXE and Space Expedition Corporation (SXC) judges with their performance on the challenges.  Roque was one of the few who were able to maneuver the plane.  All three delegates pushed their bodies to the limit as they took on the incredible pressures of hyper-gravity at four times the force of Earth’s gravity.

AXE Apollo’s Space Camp officially ended with the graduation of all 107 delegates and the awarding of the 24 space flight winners.  The graduation ceremony was led by Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the chairman of the judging committee.  Other members of AXE’s judging committee were XCOR Aerospace COO Andrew Nelson, whose rocket engine company is manufacturing the space craft that will fly the 24 winners to space; Space Expedition Corporation (SXC) CEO Michiel Mol; SXC Test Pilot Mission Control COO Harry Van Hulten; and SXC Director of Commercial Space Marlous Mens.

“AXE Philippines, as I am sure the Filipino people as well, are proud to have had Chino, Evan, and Ramil represent our country at the international AXE Apollo Space Camp.  They showed that Filipinos are courageous, determined, and resilient,” says AXE Brand Manager Gem Laforteza.

Leave a man, come back a space hero
“AXE Apollo is about heroes.  It’s about setting out to do what seems impossible,” says AXE Apollo Philippines judge Luis Manzano.

“We would like to believe that AXE’s campaign has inspired Filipinos and people everywhere to imagine the unimaginable,” says Laforteza.

Since its launch, AXE has received more than 1 million AXE Apollo Space Academy entries globally with the Philippines ranking 4th in the world and 1st in Asia in terms of applications.  The space flights are set in 2015.

SM Consortium, led by SM Investments Corp. with members BDO Capital and Investment Corp., Advanced Card Systems Ltd. and Penta Capital Investment Corp., is confident of a favorable result in the ongoing financial evaluation of the MRT/LRT Automated Fare Collection System Project.

“With no cost to the government to build and modernize the ticketing system and a one-time concession fee of P1,088,000,000 to be paid to the government unconditionally, we believe that our proposal is most advantageous to the government and the riding public,” said Norman T. Pe, senior vice president of Penta Capital.

The Department of Transportation and Communication is now evaluating the proposals of the three bidders – AF Consortium led by BPI, SM Consortium and Comworks Berjaya Consortium – which passed the technical proposal stage.

“SM, the country’s largest retail chain, will be able to maximize the potential of this innovation through the wide retail acceptance and other applications,” added Denny Wong, chairman of Advanced Card Systems Ltd of Hongkong.

The winning bidder will be announced before Dec. 24 and notice to proceed is expected to be issued in the third week of January 2014.
