J.CO OPENS 12TH STORE IN GLORIETTA

Our country bore witness to one too many fads this year as frequent as our storm visits (and to think we haven't entered the ber months yet). Speaking of fads, don't bother counting J.CO Donuts on the list.

Why? Try visiting their SM Megamall store. Or if you're living in the north (like I do), check out their Trinoma or SM North branches. You'll see (still) long lines as if the stores were on their first day.

If you're one of those many people who always fall prey into participating in the long human centipede exhibition at J.CO, I can't blame you. I remember taking part in several occasions myself. Eyes on the prize —that's my mantra. That's how I survive the wait. The prize? Alcapone!

Opening its doors to the Makati public last July 24, J.CO is proud to announce its 12th branch in the Philippine Market, conveniently located in the heart of the Metro's city business district. The Glorietta 2 branch, facing Fairmont Hotel, hosts a spacious 236 sq. meter corner location (you wouldn't miss it), where customers are given the liberty to dine and chat with one another.

The branch also hosts wrap-around al fresco-dining spots on both of its store fronts where customers can enjoy the hustle and bustle buzz of Makati from a laid back point of view and features new interior seating concepts that will certainly be cozy nooks for J.CO-ers.

Coinciding with the opening of its new store are the new Carousel donut and Caramel Salt beverage flavors. (There are more flavors being introduced as you're reading this, check it out on J.CO Philippines Facebook page.)

To make the event more memorable and fun, the J.CO team invited guests to join in a round of J.CO Trivia.

The game, hosted by Sam YG, engaged contestants in a battle with special guests, Gretchen Ho and Robi Domingo, in a modified game of tic-tac-toe where the signature J.CO donuts were the stars of the game.

Contestants took home with them an array of prizes, care of J.CO, as a sign of appreciation in partaking at the event's activities.

Each round featured trivial questions that gave background and depth to the 12 top selling donuts of the brand, such as the Alcapone, Oreology, Tiramisu, Avocado Di Caprio, Mr. Green Tea, Why Nut, Blue Berrymore, Don Mochino, Choco Caviar Chocolate, Crunchy Crunchy, and Creme La Fame.

But the real star of the event is this.

The Alcapone!
Heard this mentioned more than 12 times during the game. Yes, I counted. Not.


With the opening of the 12th J.CO store in the Philippines and more to come at Araneta Center, UPIS Katipunan Ave., UN Ave., SM Southmall, Greenhills, an General Santos City, it is to no surprise to see J.CO as one of the most exciting developments in the local donuts and coffee cafe industry.
