One of my guilty pleasures at home is to watch food shows on channels like The Food Network and the Asian Food Channel. One show that I really like (from the former) is The Great Food Truck Race.

Hosted by Tyler Florence, The Great Food Truck Race is a reality television series where food trucks compete against each other yada yada, blah blah blah. The show also shows the "stressful" part of the whole Food Truck business but also the good. I really like the customers' (positive) reactions when they get to taste whatever food a particular food truck competitor is offering. Priceless!

Now in our country, we have a local version of the whole Food Truck scene. Except this one is not a reality TV show nor is it stressful (at least for us diners) and the best part? We get to eat and experience the whole thing right in the middle of the Capitol Commons park.

Foodies on the lookout for new dining destinations can look forward to an exciting new gustatory adventure right in the heart of Pasig City. Starting September 13, the metro's favorite food trucks will be parked at Capitol Commons, the newest residential and lifestyle destination from developer Ortigas & Co.

The Food Truck Park in Capitol Commons will allow diners to experience the new trend of mobile food catering and enjoy unique food offerings from the Philippine Food Truck Association.

The culinary adventure includes fusion comfort food from Hungry Rover, kebabs and wraps from Shawarma Bros., homemade burgers from Big Bite Avenue, and unique gelato flavors from Mio Gelati, among others.

The Food Truck Park will be available starting September 13 at the Capitol Commons Park located at Meralco Avenue corner Shaw Boulevard, Pasig City.

Here's this month's schedule:
