HAPPINESS IN A BOX

I grew up having the honorable role of being the "box-opener" in the family. I was the youngest (then) so don't ask why.

My mom used to send these balikbayan boxes full of cans of Birch Tree milk, Safari chocolates, and what-not. Opening the boxes was an event in itself for me. It made me happy.

Fast forward to today. I'm a hypocrite if I tell you that I no longer get excited when I receive things and gifts in boxes. Though I prefer those rectangular boxes with the logo of a bitten apple, FYI. Or at least anything related to it. Like this iPhone 6 cover which I recently bought at Zalora.

I'll never outgrew that feeling. That feeling of happiness coming from opening a boxed present. Same feeling that these kids felt in this video.
