Make my own flip-flops. Check. Paint my sneakers. Check. I even created my own snack! It seems DIY is the latest event fad.

The last DIY activity I got to dip my hands on was at yesterday's Lee Denim DIY at the Mall of Asia Atrium.

To get you started, ask for a Lee Denim DIY menu.

Drafting this post was quite a challenge because I really don't know how I can relate myself into this big picture which is Kathryn Bernardo. You see, we're not of the same age group, I'm not an artista, she's not a blogger, and the list goes on. That's why I opted to ask my good friend Google about her. (It is amazing how you can learn a lot from a person and how you connect on some levels with just a click of a button.)

I'm not saying that I have no slight inkling on who this girl is. She's ABS-CBN's Teen Queen, after all. But hey, now that I'm warming up, I think we connect on some levels! Her former stylist's a good friend of mine; She was born in Cabanatuan (I lived there for 6 years); and we both use OraCare (See my review of the brand from three years ago HERE)

Kathryn credits her star still shining bright despite the tough competition with the good things she surround herself with. Here are some of those things:

I started blogging a year earlier than what I've been telling people. It was unintentional. My mind led me to believe that I'm relatively young in the industry but no, I did not start September of 2012.

I was once asked if I still get excited about the whole concept of blogging given that I've been doing it for years now. My answer is always, and will always be, yes. I still get excited every single time I get inquiries for collaborations, event invitations, interactions (both online and offline), and dressing up. And by dressing up, that includes the whole shebang! What to wear to which event/destination I go to and most importantly, looking for the perfect spot to document your look of the day --I just listed my top two. Providing a very good output here on the blog actually takes effort. Much effort. And risks, too.

Like wearing overalls without looking like a Mario brother which, by the way, I don't mind. I was in Baguio, after all.

So I found the "perfect" spot and upon seeing these benches, I decided to do Forrest Gump. We all know who Forrest Gump is, right? He and his movie poster-worthy of a bench scene?
Ray-Ban frames
H&M button-down shirt
Zara overalls
Did you know that on the same year the movie was released, Saucony introduced the GRID 9000 to the public? Yes, it was both in 1994.

And I'm wearing the same shoe style here in this post.

Don't you find it an awesome coincidence that the movie's iconic scene was Tom Hanks' (as Forrest Gump) running and Saucony being a running shoe brand? Just sharing.

That, so far, is the story of my run as a blogger. Now, it's Saucony Originals' turn to share its story of running.

Yep. After breaking hearts (but not banks) from THIS collaboration, Comme Des Garcons PLAY x Converse is back with a bigger heart.

PS: The one I posted on Instagram was obviously not it.

I'm not a light packer. Even if it's just for a weekend beach trip, I make sure to bring ALL the essentials I can think of.

But if out of nowhere, you jump in and command me to "Travel Now!" as if my life depended on it, these will be the top 7 things I'm gonna pack (with the exemption of smart phones because that's already a given) right away.

1. Comfortable (very) footwear.
Not only is this rubber pair from Birkenstock comfortable, it's also one of the cheapest from the brand.

2. Matte, plastic shades.
Metals and glossy eyewear tend to slip when sweat comes in between your skin and your eye protection. Bring a matte one. Correction: bring a stylish, matte shades like the one above from Police.

3. Inexpensive yet functional waterproof watch.
This Pulse watch from Veloci's latest collection is the perfect travel partner! It's waterproof, stylish, and most importantly, affordable.

4. A handy water container/filter.
There were several incidents where I had to cancel a trip due to an upset stomach. Usually, it's the result of stress coupled with something bad I ate/drank. Aside from relying on medicine, safe and clean water is the way to go that's why I make sure to bring my Bobble bottle every chance I get to travel.

5. The ever reliable power bank.
I have several power banks but this heavy duty one from MOMAX is by far, my best bet.

6. Cord organizer.
This rollable cord organizer from Filed is the online god's gift to OC people like me. It does a creative job in organizing your phone cords and earphones plus its leatherette exterior looks good as it feels. Also available in 7 other colors.

7. A good reading material.
I plan my future trips during a trip. You know, just to get the whole trip vibe going. I usually bring a magazine and/or a book but I do prefer the former for inspirations and for the varied thoughts. One of my favorite travel magazines to bring is Travel Now because (a) it's handy, (b) informative, (c) has very nice photos and articles), and (d) I have friends working there, there. Haha. But seriously, even without knowing anybody personally from the magazine, I'd still pick Travel Now anytime as my go-to reference for all things travel-related.

Exciting Sundays are ahead because Travel Now has gone beyond print with its expansion on TV with Travel Now TV!

I missed meeting Simone Legno, the Creative Director of one of the world's most beloved brands tokidoki, the last two times he went here in the Philippines for the exhibit of his brand's collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld.

The first time was last year, at SM City North EDSA, The Block. This was the closest I got to meeting him. At least, through his works.
The second time was last month at SM Aura Premier. I hope there won't be a third the next time he decides to come back.

Other than the Philippines? Penshoppe is hot right now. Have you seen the video announcement which the brand released a couple of days ago? I don't usually use the word, but it was boom!

Penshoppe knew that they're gonna turn the heat up this summer when they got these big names to represent the brand's latest campaigns. Cara, Sean, and then Kendall. Good thing their Spring/Summer 2015 collection can keep up with the heat.
Penshoppe shirt and shorts
I had a Sean O'Pry moment a couple of weeks ago when I and my friends went to Batangas for a weekend beach trip. Garbed in Penshoppe, of course.

It's not even midyear but I can say that as early as now, I already reached my quota of attending the best music events that were held here in the Philippines. All thanks to Spinnr!

Here's my Spinnr experience so far...

First, there was the 2-Days One Direction 'On The Road Again Tour' which was held at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds (March 21 - 22, 2015). I attended the second day.
