A lot of exciting things are happening this month! To name a few, there's Bloggers United 9, happening this June 6. The day before that, the release of Dr. Martens' Con-Gress boot, from the brand's Archive Collection - S/S15 Limited Edition.

And to think we're just talking about the first week of June...

The Archive Collection for S/S 2015 draws on the unique personalised designs that appeared in the US around this time. Created by looking into Dr. Martens archive for design inspiration, these styles have been replicated to look as they were when first manufactured.

The Archive Con-Gress Boots take a lot of the brand's associated workwear heritage but then mixed in customised colours and design to give it a real subcultural flavour.
Based on a one-off pair found in a vintage shop in Sacramento, this unusual height boot was believed to have been made to order in the early 1990s, and is exactly replicated. A gold stamped emboss on the ankle sits across from yellow and blue laces. These were non-standard for Dr. Martens at the time and therefore most likely added by the original wearer. The white Cristal Suede segments use a crackled leather to create a prematurely aged effect. Red stitching and a numbered tongue stamp complete the look. The boots have also been 'beaten up' in the leather shop to provide an instant 'lived in' look.
Only 1460 pairs of this special boot will be created, with each pair coming individually numbered.

Available on June 5, 2015 at Dr. Martens Two Parkade BGC and TRAFFIC Footwear TriNoma.
