The smell of freshly brewed coffee in the morning and the pages of a newly bought book (I still buy the real thing). These are nirvana in my list of little things that make me happy. I seldom get to do both at the same time just because I don't usually drink coffee while reading a book. It's my inner neat freak talking. But if it's somebody else's book we are talking about, especially if the owners encourage you to do so, then I'm game! Hehe.

Now you can do both at the latest themed café to open in Quezon City.

Carrying the tagline, Read. Sip. Dine., Book & Borders is definitely a must-try not just for book lovers and coffee lovers but anyone who is looking for a nice place to hang out in the busy Tomas Morato.

Charming and inviting, Book & Borders caters to customers who have an appreciation for good books and equally good food and coffee.

With its library vibe, you get to enjoy your book and coffee in peace. And just like libraries, you need an ID to borrow books. Here's how:

Feel free to browse through their extensive collections of Young Adult books...

...and even Children's books!

Complementing the ambience and the library aspect of the café are delicious light fare and refreshing drinks.

Aside from delicious muffins, breads, cupcakes, pies, tarts, squares, doughnuts, and cakes, Book & Borders also serves more filling menu options like pasta, sandwiches, even salad and breakfast options. For drinks, there's coffee (of course), in a variety of options, as well as refreshing smoothies for hot days.

The café's brand ambassadors, Karylle and Benjamin Alves are both book lovers, and represents what the café wants to promote very well; which is to encourage the habit of reading as well as indulging in one's love for coffee. Two self-confessed book lovers were present at the café's grand opening last July 28, wherein guests were treated to the café's bestsellers and were given the chance to enjoy the selection of books that are available.
