The last local destination I went to for a trip last year was Boracay. I already lost count of the number of times I went there but just like Baguio, you don't say no to Boracay. You might think that the place is just a long stretch of white-sand beaches frequented by beautiful people but really, there's a lot to do there other than pretend swimming/ogling at local celebrities and partying.

There's always something new to do in Boracay and that's just what I did the last time I went there with my blogger friends for a sponsored group getaway. Though staying at Azalea Hotels & Residences was also a first, I managed to come up with a list of new things I did (or did not do).

Here they are:

1. I did not swim at the beach for the first time!
I've been doing it anyway every time I visit the island (kahit minsan may lumot pa) so this inactivity was somehow a nice change of pace. Plus you don't get to see Boracay with this less crowd that often so why not grab the opportunity to have your photo taken minus the photobombers?

2. But I managed to swim at the pool of Azalea Hotels & Residences.

And it's on the top deck--another first for me.

3. I got to witness Boracay's sunset.

And capture it, finally!

The easiest way to experience new things in Boracay is through your sense of taste. And with the wide choices of places to eat at the island, you don't have to go through the ordeal of eating the same thing over and over again. Well, with the exception of Two Season's Four Cheese Pizza and Jonas' shake!
Pax had an iPhone 6 along with her Kare-Kare. Ask her how.
4. Breakfast at Obama Grill.

5. Lunch at D'Talipapa.

We had this spread of fresh seafood.

6. Pizza dinner at Spider House.

I was reluctant to go at first because spiders... pangalan lang pala.
7. With Kuya J being more accessible in the metro, who would've thought that my first would be at Azalea Boracay?
Kuya J Restaurant is located at Azalea Hotels & Residences Boracay
I hope these things made you look forward to visiting Boracay again. Of course, all these would be great to experience on a group getaway with your family and friends. I suggest staying at Azalea Boracay. See my previous entry for the feature.

How about you? Mind sharing your firsts in Boracay?
