GETTING TO AZALEA BORACAY VIA AIRASIA

There are two entry points to Boracay if you're going there by plane. Caticlan and Kalibo. And for all the times I visited the island, majority of my plane rides had the latter as its entry point. Even though Caticlan is the fastest way to get to Boracay, I really don't mind landing at Kalibo every now and then especially if my flight is scheduled early in the morning. At least I get to catch up on my sleep for the two-hour ride from the airport to the Caticlan Jetty Port.

Believe me, you need all the rest you can get before arriving at the island. There's so much to do and it would be a waste if your body's not prepared for it. But aside from that, you also need to eat.

I usually grab a cup of Seattle's Best coffee at Terminal 4 (that's where the flights to Boracay depart) and save room for the rice meals offered at the plane.

I suggest you take the opportunity because it's gonna be more than a couple of hours (including land and ferry transfers) before you can have a decent meal.

Good thing AirAsia's Inflight Menu now offers more than their usual fare of Uncle Chin's Chicken Rice, Beef Caldereta, and Nasi Lemak (my favorite!).

Replacing the old is the Santan menu.
