LOOKBOOK 295 + ONE DAY OF ZEN

These photos taken at Intramuros were inspired from the back-to-back smartphone photography workshop led by the country's in-demand photographers Jay Tablante and Roy Macam last November 21, 2015 during the ASUS Philippines' #OneDayofZen event (lifted from the the brand's 100 Days of Zen campaign).

Disclaimer: Even though the workshop focused mainly on capturing images using the impressive ZenFone 2 Laser 5.0's camera, the first seven lookbook photos in this entry were deliberately taken using a mirrorless camera for comparison's (and ootd!) sake. The rest were from the photo prowess of the Zenfone 2.

But before I get on with the event, allow me to get this whole fashion blogging business out of the way.

So an Instagram follower expressed her desire to start her own blog and with that, her desperation to own a camera. She even went far by asking me to hook her up with this camera brand which I'm associated with (in a way). I didn't bother replying because I know I'll sound annoyed. I was. We all know it doesn't work that way. Heck, I even paid for my own camera!

But truth be told, I was not prepared for that. I didn't even have a snappy comeback that's why I chose to shut up. And it's the new year. It'd be good to just be nice. So, I shut up. But come to think of it, what's the point of having a voice on social media if I won't use it to the extent of being a good influencer? After all, I got stuck in the word "camera" where in fact, there are other good options which won't make your parents go "Di mo naman gagamitin sa eskwela yan."

To my reader, here's a suggestion: Why don't you buy a Zenfone 2 Laser 5.0 and start a blog using the photos taken with its camera? To quote Roy Macam, "With a great eye and a gadget like the Zenfone 2, one can definitely take an image like a pro who uses an SLR camera."

The best thing about owning a ZenFone 2 is its affordability! For as low as Php7,295 (maybe even lesser) you can capture these photos in all its amazing qualities!

Say hello to Grupo Indulgencia at the historical Fort Santiago (taken using Zenfone 2's wide angle panorama selfie feature)!

The front camera's lens has an 85° wide-angle, enabling you to capture more than ever before. To capture everything or everyone in one picture, try the new Panorama Selfie mode that allows you to take a 140° selfie so that everyone can be part of the shot.

The ZenFone 2 Laser is the first phone in the price range to have an 8-megapixel camera on the back guided with a laser auto-focus. It also has a dual-LED real tone flash and a 5-megapixel camera on the front.

The f/2.0-aperture lens manages to focus the subject in a snap and delivers shots with excellent detail, saturation and contrast levels in day-light conditions. The combination of the excellent hardware and software truly deliver the best in class camera solutions.

ZenFone 2 Laser's rear camera has laser autofocus technology for the fastest clarity. ZenFone 2 Laser's infrared laser measures distances at lightning speed -and that means near-instant focus as fast as only 0.03 seconds.
Low Light Mode with laser auto focus

Dim light conditions can make capturing and focusing moments difficult when using a smartphone camera. ASUS PixelMaster's Low Light Mode plus laser auto focus system makes lost moments a thing of the past. By smartly merging 4 pixels into one and capturing the light characteristics in the process, the ZenFone 2 Laser is able to produce the best pictures in low light environments. PixelMaster intelligently adjusts noise-level, color and contrast. Smart Pixel Merging and Pixel Perfecting results in 400% better light sensitivity.

Super Resolution Mode

The PixelMaster Super Resolution mode allows you to maximize your camera's ability. ASUS PixelMaster made it possible by using the 8PM rear camera and merging four pictures into in a near 52MP result which in reality holds 4X more clarity, by extracting a high-resolution image from multiple lower-resolution images of the same subject. More details are revealed in light and dark conditions while noise levels are reduced.
And we're just talking about it's camera features! See its evolution from 2014 to 2015.
