It's watch season once again!

How do I know? Check out GQ's November 2012 issue. It has 10 watch ads (plus an advertorial). And before the month of October ended, I got invited to 4 watch launches and was able to attend 3. This was the 2nd.

And it was held at the...

The food served was exceptionally bad (in a good way!)

…and this particular one closely resembled one of the watch displays of Nixon's latest collections,

And here are some watches from Nixon's latest collections as presented by two alternating models.

And it wouldn't be a Nixon event without the "traditional" tequila toast.

Shared table with these lovely people...

…while on the other table, more cool people!

A showcase of Nixon's latest collections:

About the latest from Nixon,
The Rover
The Rover is back! Inspired by a life well lived, it's a casual contemporary design for those who feel most at home when they're far from home. The machine-finished stainless steel case is inspired by vintage cameras and the watch has a rotating bezel. From day to night, the glowing superlum indices keep you on time, while the canvas and leather band make you feel most in your element when you're out in the elements.
The Candem Chrono
The Camden Chrono has style in abundance. It's a watch that is both soft and strong, effortless and convincing. An extension of Nixon's popular Camden model, the Camden Chrono features a chronograph movement with applied indices, custom molded hands and a diamond set at 6 hour. The result is a striking piece that's equal part bold and brilliant, that function as much as it flirts.
The Bobbi
Down to earth without being earthy, the Bobbi is a watch that works in both the sleepy beach town and the heart of the city. It's a watch that brings together the best of both worlds without compromising uniting supple leather and steel studded spikes. The end result is an attention-commanding statement fitting of the girl who will wear it. It's attitude without ego.
The Hudson Street Collection
At the intersection of the past and future, Nixon's Hudson Street Collection produces a vision for a unique present. It's a new vintage, paying tribute to quality craftsmanship while taking full benefit of today's materials and technologies. The Hudson Street Collection features high polish gunmetal plated stainless steel with high polish champagne gold plated details. It's a line that draws on what came before to create what comes next.
The Slow Burn Collection
Feel the heat coming off this collection of team favorites. The Slow Burn is a collection inspired by the end of a long day on the mountain, relaxing in luxury. It hits the notes of a lodge fire and a deserved whisky, a thoughtful combination of colors and materials designed to evoke reflection.
The Plastiform Collection
Not for the faint of heart, The Plastiform Collection is for those who take inspiration in being bold. Made in tribute to the Pop Art movement, these pieces are motivated first and foremost by striking colors and textures, all in muted off tones that announce their presence fearlessly, but come with history behind them.
