I've always wanted a portion in my house where I can just sit back, relax, and simply bask in the calmness surrounding me. With the exemption of the loo, okay?

Of course, everything has to be white. Mainly. Furniture, books, and gadgets which can double as weights/displays. Like this Braven 570. I think its clean and crisp sound, aside from it being white (other colors are available, too), is the perfect complement to the serenity I'm aiming for that soon-to-be-constructed room.

Unlike my other wireless speakers which are compact in size, I really don't have any issue with the sound it emits because it's bigger. Bigger gadgets has its advantages too, you know. Let's start with that.

What's in the box?
  1. Includes the BRAVEN 570 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker
  2. USB-to-micro-USB cable
  3. 3.5mm stereo AUX cable
  4. BRAVEN 570 Owner's Guide

  2. Battery Check Button
  3. External USB Charging Port
  4. 3.5mm Audio-Out Jack (daisy-chain)
Turn On & Bluetooth Pairing
  1. Slide the power switch up to the "on" position. You will hear the BRAVEN power up sound.
  2. Activate Bluetooth on the phone or device you are pairing with (see your device's instruction manual for information on activating its Bluetooth settings).
  3. Press and hold the Pairing Button on the BRAVEN speaker until the Pairing Status light begins to flash rapdily and you hear the BRAVEN pairing sound.
  4. Go to your phone or device's Bluetooth settings and select the BRAVEN device from the list.
  5. If asked for a passcode, enter "0000"
*Your BRAVEN speaker will remember the last 8 devices it has paired with.
NOTE: If the BRAVEN does not have an active Bluetooth connection and is left on, it will shut itself down off after 30 minutes. To restart the BRAVEN you will need to slide the Power Switch to the "off" position and then back to the "on" position.

Charging Your BRAVEN
  • Before using your BRAVEN speaker for the first time, charge it until the Power/Pairing light turns off, indicating a full charge (typically 2 to 4 hours).
  • To charge your BRAVEN, plug the included USB-to-Micro-USB cable into a wall power adapter (not included) or into a powered USB port on a computer. Plug the Micro-USB connector end of the cable into the BRAVEN charging port.
Charging External Devices
BRAVEN is designed to charge USB devices that draw from 0.3A - 1A (most cell phones and mp3 players. Tablets and other 2A devices cannot be charged by your BRAVEN speaker) using the full-sized USB port on the left side of the speaker. To use external charging:
  1. Turn the BRAVEN power switch on.
  2. Plus the USB power cable that came with your phone, mp3 player, or other mobile device into the USB port on the BRAVEN speaker.
  3. Plug the other end of the cable into your mobile device, and it will immediately begin charging.
I haven't actually maximized the Braven 570 by using its other features aside from the speaker but it's nice to know that I have other options for charging my gadgets if my power banks give up on me.

With its minimalist and classic appeal, I also like the fact that I can also use it as a Speakerphone. Maybe, one day, I can use it as functional prop if I decide to go as the voice of "Charlie" this Halloween. Angels, mandatory.

The Braven retails at Php3,950 and is exclusively distributed by Digits Trading Corporation. For inquiries on it's availability, like Digits Trading on Facebook! For more information, go HERE.
