I have about 200 pairs of shoes in my collection. 50% of it are sneakers and half of those come in either bold colors or quirky prints. I'm slowly gearing towards minimalism when it comes to my style (note: slowly) and to spice things up, I rely on shoes to make my whole look interesting. With that many pairs, you must be wondering which shoes get the most floor time. Well, just like in any family, there will always be a favorite. How do I pick them? Easy. I go for comfort and style. This BucketFeet pair is one of them.

"I was trying to think of an icon that represents a really nice way to say no--I think this symbol achieves that." -BucketFeet's Creative Director Michael, when asked where he got the inspiration for this "X" design. But really, how can you say no to this?
Bucketfeet is available at the following stores:

The heart of essentialism isn't about asking how little we can live with, but determining what we simply cannot live without.*
On the topic of travelling, someplace safe to stay and sleep at would be the top if I'm to list my essentials. I'm not really picky when it comes to places to stay at as long as I can charge my gadgets, I have a comfortable bed to sleep in, and a bathroom which I can use to my heart's content. Hotel, hostel, airbnb, it doesn't really matter. I won't be spending the rest of my time there anyway. Well, except for the latter part of the evening when I need to recharge for the next day's adventure. I also don't like the idea of spending much on hotels when I can spare my cash for food and souvenirs that's why a hostel (even airbnb) is a good idea.
I got my first taste of staying at one just last week with my friends and I must say that I was amazed with my overall experience! After all, Z Hostel is the biggest and only luxury ho…

There are a lot of things I like about the start of a new school year. Old classmates. New friends. The idea of being another year closer to living the "real" life. And finally, new set of clothes and school stuff. I have always wanted new things to wear on my first day of school.
I may sound shallow but the reality is, you make good first impressions with how you look on the first day of school (also true at work). That's initial. Your personality will follow suit. Now you understand why the first day always feels like retail fashion week. But piece of advice: don't overdo it. You wanna be labeled as the fashionista, not the uber-fashionista.

You won't usually see me in my casuals on most days of the week. Especially on work days when I meet up with clients, presentations, pitches, and the like (aka doing non blog-related stuff). But on rare instances you'll do... well, surprise! I usually go all out.
Jeans, t-shirt, cardigan, boots and hair tied up in a bun (just this one time) is my idea of casual. Facial hair: optional.

Count your blessings, they say. Well, I've been getting a lot of it lately and putting them all in one blog post would probably eat up my sleeping time today. Instead, allow me to narrow it down on a per week basis.

Starting with...

1. Dinner at Le Petit Souffle.
You know what excite me and my friends? Live (lol) catching up. You know what excite us even more? Catching up over good food in an equally good-looking place.

We were wearing denim. A fellow blogger was quick to point that out in one of our online conversations when the album of the participating bloggers of Bloggers United 9 was released on Facebook. It was not really the theme which the organizers picked out for the latest installment of the most anticipated bloggers event of the year (they're just organized like that). In fact, there never was a theme.
But when the latest issue of Chalk magazine with the country's top fashion bloggers on the cover came out... They (the organizers) thought, why not? Then denim it is. Don't worry, nobody's trying to impose a strict dress code here.

A lot of exciting things are happening this month! To name a few, there's Bloggers United 9, happening this June 6. The day before that, the release of Dr. Martens' Con-Gress boot, from the brand's Archive Collection - S/S15 Limited Edition. And to think we're just talking about the first week of June...
